On Wednesday, Hartwick senior Zsofia Polak (Dunaujvaros, Hungary / Rudas)was named the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Player of the Week for the second straight week. It marks the seventh time Polak has earned the honor.
Polak scored 14 goals, dished out five assists, registered six steals, and forced 10 exclusions in four games for Hartwick at the Indiana Invite. She scored three goals with an assist as the Hawks defeated #10 Indiana 13-11 and followed it up tying for a team-high with five goals, an assist, and four steals in a 16-9 victory over VMI on Saturday. Polak tied for a team-best four goals and added three helpers and five drawn exclusions against Marist and tallied twice in a 14-2 win over Mercyhurst on Sunday.
Polak leads the team in goals (52), assists (39), and points (91) this season for the Hawks, who are 14-3 overall and ranked thirteenth in the nation.
