Matt "Juice" Paxton
Suncoast High
USMC

From his Mom:

I would be lying not to admit I didn't cry like a baby when my son Matthew came home from college and said he was taking the semester off to go to Parris Island, S.C., Marine Boot Camp. The little dare devil athletic adrenaline junkie boy in him wants to be a hero. He believes in service to our country and wanted to enlist in the Marines. I wish we lived in a world full of peace, but we don't. Weneed superheroes. Our military is full of them. Matthew just endured 4 months of our countries most brutal boot camp. In his letters he would describe the insane discipline needed mentally and physically to make it through. Matt always assured me in those letters he was made for this life. Today I stand one proud mama bear! The road trip to South Carolina has begun for Fridays graduation. I am traveling with an amazing crew of family and friends who celebrate with us.
