Coral Reef's Capparelli Honored

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- No. 16 Hartwick College's Sami Capparelli (Jr., Miami, Fla./Coral Reef) tallied four goals, two assists, a kickout drawn and one steal in a 13-4 season-opening victory over Marist College to garner honors as the January 28 Western Division Player of the Week.
Capparelli, who entered the season with 73 goals and 22 assists for 95 career points, broke the 100-point mark against the Red Foxes as her offensive output raised her career totals to 77 goals and 24 assists for 101 points with 34 steals.
The award marks the second of her collegiate career as she garnered the February 22, 2011 Western Division Rookie of the Week honor two seasons ago as a freshman.

Apparently news spreads fast in Boca Raton. Especially when the Michael Jordan of water polo was no where to be found at Boca High's first official practice yesterday?

Keri Ciancio, unquestionably Palm Beach County's top female player for the past 2 seasons was missing in action at the Lady Bobcats practice. We know for a fact it wasn't academic as Ciancio who's a straight A student has already been accepted early into numerous universities with FSU topping her list.

The Lady Bobcats, who are defending District Champions have a strong team which includes 2 returning first team all-county players in defensive star Lyndsey Holland & keeper Melanie Brooks.

Ciancio's accolades include Academic All-American, two time Palm Beach Post First Team All Palm Beach County, 2012 SoFlo Water Polo Blog's First Team All Tri-County, 2012 Sun Sentinel Palm Beach County Player of the Year, State of Florida's second leading scorer for the 2012 season, 2012 SoFlo Water Polo Blog's Palm Beach Player of the Year as well as leading her team in scoring, assists & steals for 2011 & 2012 seasons.

So the high school water polo season is only 24 hrs. old and questions loom; where is Keri & how could Boca High let this thoroughbred get away?

Urban Dictionary:

A guy or girl that has everything going for them and seemingly no flaws.

A person who is real, about there's no faking, fronting, or hating.

Educated, but humble in their success. Come from a good family, who instilled good morals within them. Overall try to live right, and do right.
